how to hyperlink within a word document copy and paste

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums what it's worth, pasting is possible for that function on Windows. When I want to insert a hyperlink (text > interactive > hyperlink properties or Add Hyperlinks icon via hyperlinks studio) I can't use cmd+V to insert a hyperlink. Instead of showing only the URL for a web page, the hyperlink now uses descriptive text indicating where the link leads.I've been having this problem since forever, and it never seems to have been fixed.

In the 'Text to display:' field, type the text you want to use to represent the link.

In the 'Address:' field, paste the hyperlink you copied as part of step 1.

Open the 'Insert Hyperlink' dialog box by pressing Ctrl-k on your keyboard or using the ribbon for instructions, see Open the 'Insert Hyperlink' dialog box.

In Word, place your cursor where you want the hyperlink to appear.

Copy the hyperlink you want to include in your text (for example, ).

To add descriptive text to a hyperlink in Word: For example, 'For more information, visit the Certifications page on the IT Training website' will sound clearer and more useful to those using screen readers than 'For more information on certificate series, click here'.
